BONE, STONE, SOIL & WOOD surround our totemic symbol of re-birth in a digital age searching for links to the past. Working from the sketches and studies of Alfie Kungu to create the hero graphic of the collaboration, a multi coloured spray of colour comes from the edges of the negative space print.
At once dated and futuristic, 'The Flintstones' looked to the future through a stone age lens. In the same vein Liam Hodges presents Liam Hodges x Alfie Kungu, a collection of hand-painted pieces, graphic jersey and knitwear. Throughout the capsule, a butterfly motif is present as a totemic symbol of rebirth.
Alfie Kungu is a London based, Yorkshire born artist. Kungu’s paintings consist of robust, bold palettes with a rhythmic and chaotic nature. Influenced by 90s cartoons, his work often features animated characters to create an immersive and abstract world.
